The Earthwoven Vessel

Living sculptures that act as companions, guides & space-holders in ritual. Each vessel is bespoke & intention led making them feel deeply personal & sacred.

From intention to tangible

These are not just objects.
They are offerings.
They are vessels of soul.

A sacred sculpture for ritual, remembrance, and soul connection. A physical expression of what is being remembered, reclaimed, or tended within.

Hand-built with reverence and slow intention in the heart of The Kingdom, Ireland. Each Earthwoven Vessel is a one-of-a-kind ceremonial piece, created to embody your personal prayer, story, or transformation. Woven with raw earth, blessed with mountain water, solidified by the cleansing sacred fire, dried in the fragrant air of the surrounding bogs and forests, grounded with fallen branches or roots and adorned with hand-bound leather.

These vessels are powerful companions for your altar, rituals, or sacred space.

Where Zen and art co-exist, the call of spirit is heard again in the land
— Kenneth R Beittel

There are moments in life that ask to be marked. Moments that stir the soul, shift the ground and open a new doorway. An Earthweaving is a tangible vessel for these thresholds. A handcrafted piece woven with clay, story and ceremony, to hold the beauty, grief, transformation and mystery of life.

Oh my goddess, beautifully captured! I have no words Ruth! I absolutely adore it. You captured what I wanted so well. I’m speechless! This is the most incredible piece of art I ever owned. I am so grateful for you.
— Elly
I am incredibly moved knowing the deep connection that was woven through this creation. A ray of light amidst so much world pain. I cannot covey my gratitude fully.
— Andrea
Ruth has a keen eye for all that is beautiful. She really cares about her sacred work & infuses each piece with such intention, love and magic. Thank you Ruth for bringing these ceremonial vessels to life
— Naoise

Why?

  • There are moments in life that deserve to be marked with care; times of change, celebration, loss, transformation, or deep personal growth and expansion. A Sacred Vessel is a unique earthen artwork, made especially for you, to honour your story.

Ruth works with your story, your season of life, and what you’d like the piece to hold or represent. Each piece is bespoke, a channelled design just for you, handcrafted in Ruth’s studio in Kerry, Ireland.

  • This is a deeply personal and soulful process. It is for those who want more than just a beautiful object, it is for those who want something meaningful, something that feels like a reflection of who they are or where they have been or where they are going.

Whether it becomes part of your daily rituals or simply stands on your shelf holding space for you, your Sacred Vessel will be a reminder that your journey matters and should have a voice.

  • Through years of journeying, Ruth has gathered wisdom from her many paths and created her earthweaving process. Ruth is the translator of your intention in tangible, textured being. She breathes life into your bespoke design so you can hold it in your own hands.

From ether to physical. Sacred to tangible.

Her channelled designs call in tree spirits, goddesses, chakras, ancestors, elements, gemstone energies, feathers, flowers, symbols, animal spirits, glass, driftwood and more.

How?

  • When you connect with Ruth via email or website form, she will reach out with her Sacred Vessel guide. You will have time to sit with the prompts in the guide before scheduling your one to one online call. In your call you will journey through your answers and Ruth will gain a sense of how that will translate in ceramic form.

See ceremony for the next steps…

  • In the days following Ruth will sit in ceremony and channel your unique design. She will reveal the design to you and let you know when she will begin your piece. Your vessel is only created while in ceremony and when creative energy is flowing. Ruth does not work with the clay when her energy is not aligned. Ruth uses her intuition to guide this. Clay holds water, water holds memory. It is important to the process that your piece is held in integrity, staying true to your vessel’s vision and honouring it. This includes being true to the vision, her artistic voice, and her commitment to quality artwork. Time is irrelevant, trust is foremost and the vessel always arrives to you at the right moment.

See Weaving for the next steps…

  • From sketch design, when the energy aligns, Ruth opens ceremonial space in her barn studio or within her home. Various hand-building, carving and decoration techniques are then used to weave your piece into life. Mountain water is often used, either in the making process as greenware, or to bless and wash the piece after its final firing. Any spirits, angels, energies or elements connected to the design are called in.

Once the greenware vessel has been tended to and dried, it is bisque fired at 1000’c in the kiln. When your bisqued vessel has finished controlled-cooling, it is then prepped for glazing. The glazing process is intuitive, slow and may include glass infusion, matt or gloss glaze, or a gold lustre. Upon completion, the vessel returns to Ruth’s kiln, Bonnie, to be fired to 1240’c.

Your vessel now transitions from the earth section of Ruth’s studio to the adornment area where it receives the channelled additions. Most Sacred Vessels are grounded with a fallen branch/driftwood sourced on foot in the Killarney National Park. Some receive leather binding to ground them. Other honouring touches are completed.

Your piece may be also reiki infused upon request or if Ruth feels it is called to be when she channels the design.

You are then contacted with images of your final piece and it is posted to you or collected.
